July-August 2025 Updates
Midyear Meeting: We met on June 18 and published the recap the following day.
Fire Sprinkler Inspections June 9 & 10: Thanks to everyone here, we completed all inspections as planned. The inspector found two high-priority problems that we're already working with the homeowners to address. The reports also list many less critical issues that we're working on a plan to fix as cost-effectively as possible.
Asphalt Repairs: The board approved a $14,000 project to repair cracking and improperly sloped asphalt between 64-66 and 38-40, and to repair cracked asphalt in front of 10. Residents of 10, 64, and 66 will be unable to move cars in or out of their driveways and garages for two days, but traffic will otherwise proceed almost normally.
Transformer Relocation: Marietta Power will relocate the transformer beside 64 to the fence behind 64 in a 3-day project that starts August 11. On the morning of August 13, residents of 58, 60, 62, and 64 will lose power for 4-5 hours during the final switchover.
North Retaining Wall Landscaping: After the transformer is relocated, Marietta Power will re-install the streetlight at the north end - which is required before we install irrigation and plants. Our Landscape Committee is working with Georgia Landscape on a design, and they'll install it during suitable weather.
